The Kates hit Lake Louise for an absolutely amazing day yesterday! With 6 cm of new powder, most of which was blown into the back bowls, the conditions were superb. It would have been perfect had it been sunny, instead it continued to snow all day. And you know what that means... tree skiing!
We managed to get first tracks on the E-R Face, an area that is rarely open. We don't know for sure, but have a feeling that they opened it just before we got to it in the afternoon. There were stashes of untouched, knee-deep powder and I got my very first legitimate "face-shots."
Late in the afternoon we hit the Ptarmigan Chutes and got more fresh powder. Since it has been so long since we have posted on the BOS site, we took some video here for your viewing pleasure.
In the Ptarmigan Lift line we ran into a couple of Katie's friends and finished our last run of the day with them. Good times were had by all. My muscles were so exhausted that pushing in the clutch on the way home was painful!

Meet the BOS Girls!!!
I'm sure you're curious who these "Bitches" are. Well it's time to get acquainted with the lovely ladies!

This is our creative way of getting a group shot. Not immediately obvious but reflected in the lovely Tamara's goggles are the rest of the BOS girls! Left to right we have Katie, Anne and Kate.

A shot of the girls on the gondola at Kicking Horse. Left to right you'll see Katie, Kate and Tamara... all smiles!
Ah, the oh so effective snowplow tuck. Nothing like going nowhere fast... with your poles stuck straight up in the air! As you can see Katie is well in the lead, but the race for silver was a tight one between Kate and Tamara.

It's a little sad that on the first run of day 2 we were so tired that we needed to sit down and have a rest. It just means that we skied hard on day 1... right? Top to bottom we've got Anne, Katie and Tamara.

Anne and Kate maxin' and relaxin' on the ever so slow quad. It was a beautiful weekend, with blue skies, warm temperatures and stashes of fresh snow. Who could ask for anything more? Well a high-speed quad would be nice, but we won't be picky...

Tamara and Katie on the quad (with Kate and Anne reflected in Tamara's pretty goggles).
There they are folks, the lovely BOS girls. Wait until you see them rip it up!

Introducing BOS
Well, here we are with the official BoS website! I know it's kind of late in the season to be starting this but I felt inspired, so here we go.
We (the Bitches on Skis) will endeavour to bring our cameras with us on all of our ski journeys to capture: the wonderful Canadian Rockies and anywhere else we are fortunate enough to travel; the occasions when one of us manages to rip it, kick it and stick it!; the more numerous occasions when we make spectacular face plants and/or get a case of booter crunk; and of course, the Suit du Jour.
Stay tuned for all of our two-planked adventures!
